Course content
The academic discipline "Microbiology" is a component of the educational program for professional training of specialists at the "Bachelor" educational level. The discipline is a basic discipline that covers the issues of morphology, structure of the bacterial cell, growth and reproduction, genetics of bacteria, metabolism of aerobic and anaerobic gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The issues of the distribution of microorganisms in nature and their geochemical activity are considered. The properties of the main pathogens of infectious diseases, the features of epidemiology, pathogenesis, classification and mechanism of action of antibiotics are covered. Special attention is paid to the use of microorganisms by humans in traditional and modern biotechnological processes. The discipline is designed to generalize the idea of \u200b\u200bthe directions of development of modern microbiology.
