Learning outcomes

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Botany", "Plant Physiology", "Biochemistry",
"General cytology", "Modern information technologies in biology", "Statistical methods in
biology", "Microbiology", deepening the acquired knowledge and skills of practical scientific
experimental work during the training practice in botany and zoology.
2. The ability to independently apply knowledge of botany, anatomy and physiology of plants, biochemistry,
biotechnology, etc. discipline, perform laboratory and practical work, work with
scientific and methodical literature.
3. Possession of elementary skills of working with materials and equipment, which
are used in biological and chemical laboratories.
Course content
The course consists of sections on: biological diversity of archegonia plants, principles of their identification and classification, modern fundamental scientific and applied aspects of the study of archegonia plants in laboratory conditions and educational and scientific collections, practical significance and rarity of archegonias in flora of Ukraine;
cultivation of plant cells, tissues and organs in vitro, use of isolated
cultures for studying the processes of dedifferentiation, differentiation and morphogenesis;
biological diversity of fungi, principles of their detection in natural biotopes,
features of description, classification and identification, modern fundamental scientific and applied aspects of studying fungi in laboratory conditions, modern areas of application of this knowledge to solve problems in other fundamental and applied sciences.
