Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of such competencies, skills and abilities as: the ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize, understand the retrospective of inheritance law; the ability to exercise their inheritance rights and obligations as a participant in the relevant relations; the ability to master and apply modern knowledge of inheritance law to interpret and resolve practical situations, mastering knowledge of inheritance doctrine and legislation, as well as the practice of the ECHR based on the recognition of human dignity as the highest social value.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know the main aspects of the formation and history of inheritance law, the legal nature of the main institutions of inheritance law, the basic principles and mechanisms for the implementation of subjective inheritance rights and ways to protect them, basic literary sources on inheritance law, acts of civil legislation of Ukraine regulating inheritance relations, as well as the existing judicial practice of resolving inheritance disputes.
2) Be able to evaluate and determine the role and objectives of inheritance law, to separate inheritance legal relations and inheritance rights from other types of civil legal relations and civil rights, to give them a legal description.
3) Possess basic skills in working with educational and regulatory literature, applying scientific methods of cognition and legal methods of resolving controversial practical situations in the field of inheritance law.
Course content
The forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at conducting a legal analysis of the provisions of inheritance law and problematic issues related to their application, studying theoretical and practical aspects of the emergence (termination), exercise and protection of inheritance rights. The discipline examines the general characteristics of inheritance law, types and features of inheritance legal relations, as well as the specifics of the exercise and protection of inheritance rights. The course of the discipline involves an in-depth study of inheritance law institutions, sources, legal literature, basic concepts and special terminology.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, self-study work of the student on the basis of mastering of court cases, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of current control are selected by the teacher who conducts seminars, in agreement with the lecturer and in accordance with this program. The forms of student assessment include: express survey; colloquium; reports and research papers; testing; module test; solving problems/cases, drafting a contract in private international law. The final assessment is a written exam.
The minimum score to be obtained by a student during the semester is 24 points, the maximum score is 40 points.
During the current control during seminars, the following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student in the answer, activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, systematic work in the classroom, and the results of the assignments.
The final assessment is a written test or an oral test (with the possible use of information and communication technologies) (maximum score - 60).
