Learning outcomes
Ensuring personal and professional development of the student capable of analyzing, synthesizing and generalizing current problems of the state security policy. Particular attention is paid to identifying the essence of threats to Ukrainian society and the state and the main directions of state national security policy.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.Before studying this course, students should know the basic concepts and categories of the history of political thought, general political theory. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on political processes; apply basic terms, categories of analysis of socio-political phenomena and processes. 3.Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of political and economic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources
Course content
Theoretical basis of the methodology for researching national security issues: philosophical and political science aspect. Methodology of analysis and philosophical reflection of national security as a socio-cultural phenomenon. Principles and methods of researching the problem of national security. Methodological context for analyzing the main sources of threats and factors influencing the security of transformational societies. General characteristics of transformative societies. Stability and lability of transformative societies in the systemic dimension. Social archetypes and mentality as basic constants of society in the context of security. National security of transformative societies in the context of variable factors of influence. General characteristics of the structure of the national security system. Security of the individual. Security of society and the state.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.5), which is 40% of the total grade and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication - 3.1-3.2); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade.
