The purpose of the discipline is to develop students' social and psychological thinking and to master the basic concepts, principles and provisions necessary to explain the peculiarities of people's perception and understanding of each other and the phenomena that are manifested in this process.
The interactive function of communication, types of interaction, and the possibilities of empirical study of interpersonal interaction are analyzed. E. Berne's transactional analysis of the organization of interaction is presented. The communicative function of communication is considered: features, means of communication and barriers to communication. The perceptual function is analyzed: mechanisms of mutual understanding, causal attribution, the influence of attitudes on perception, the formation of the first impression. The problem of psychology of interpersonal conflict is studied: types, causes, dynamics, ways of behavior in a conflict situation and algorithm of solution.
