Prerequisites and co-requisites
The internship requires the presence of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills acquired in courses of experimental and theoretical physics, special courses in astronomy and astrophysics. The student must know the safety precautions when working with the appropriate astronomical and physical equipment: computers, telescopes, electrical equipment and measuring devices. In turn, the discipline “Pre-diploma internship (without separation from theoretical training)” creates the prerequisites for the further implementation of the master's thesis, forms a general idea of modern methods of physical and astronomical research, and prepares the student for work in the specialty.
Course content
Pre-degree practice is an educational component of a practical orientation (practical training) to consolidate theoretical knowledge and practical professional training, including for writing a certification (thesis) thesis.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Scientific publications, reviews and articles in scientific journals relevant to the topic of the practice. Provided individually by the supervisor from the practice base.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The internship is carried out individually under the guidance of a scientific supervisor.
Assessment methods and criteria
Credit. The internship report is submitted after the internship period ends during a meeting of the Department of Astronomy and Space Physics. The report text, electronic presentation, and feedback from the internship site manager are required.
Language of instruction
Ukrainian
