            Know the features of the gender approach to the analysis of social phenomena
Know the current state of gender relations and gender order in Ukraine
Be able to use the methodology and conceptual and categorical apparatus of gender theory in the study of social phenomena
Have the skills to critically analyze the processes of social construction of gender
Demonstrate skills of reasoned presentation of one's own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents

            Be able to work with scientific literature and primary sources
Possess the conceptual apparatus of modern sociological theory
Possess basic skills in the application of sociological methods
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The essence, specifics and history of the formation of gender research as a scientific field. Conceptual apparatus and conceptual principles of gender sociology. Gendered family. Education as a gendered social institution. Gender relations in the economic sphere. Gender dimension of modern Ukrainian politics. Gendered violence. Gender and sexuality. Sex education. Gendered language: vectors of power and influence.
