Learning outcomes
Know: stages of geological and technical and economic study of mineral deposits, classification of reserves and resources in domestic and international practice, methods of counting reserves and quantification of resources, methods of value assessment of mineral reserves and subsoil areas.
Be able to: systematize subsoil use objects, deposits and subsoil areas according to the stages of geological and technical-economic study, determine the status of the mining project and the basic risks of its implementation, assess the quantity, quality and reliability of mineral resources and estimate their value.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines of general geology, geoinformatics, the basics of land and real estate valuation.
Course content
As part of the educational discipline, there is an introduction to the classification of reserves and resources, the phasing of subsurface exploration and methods of geological and economic assessment at various stages of the study, with methods of quantitative and cost assessment of mineral reserves, indicators of economic efficiency of projects.

Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a credit with a maximum score of 20 points (6 points limit). Assessment for the semester - 80 points, which includes 2 modular control papers, each of which is assessed at 10 points (6 points limit) and practical work - 60 points.
