Learning outcomes
Know: geological theories and paradigms; regional ore-bearing structures of the earth's crust; geological and industrial classification of minerals; types and methods of mineral extraction; technologies for ex-tracting metallic and non-metallic minerals. Be able to: Determine the geological and industrial types of mineral deposits, mineral composition; use the acquired knowledge to determine the feasibility of mining and industries of mineral use; draw up preliminary technological schemes for mining
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of general geology, mineralogy and other related geological disciplines. Possession of information about the mineral composition and conditions of formation of rocks and ores.
Course content
The discipline program outlines basic information about the conditions and methods of development and technology of mineral extraction depending on the genetic types of deposits, the conditions of their for-mation, chemical and mineral composition, as well as the use of mineral deposits, in particular, deposits of ferrous, non-ferrous, noble, rare, rare-earth, radioactive metals and non-metallic minerals.

lectures, practical classes, independent work of students.
Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves the completion of tasks of independent and practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of the acquired knowledge and solve the assigned tasks using the methods and means outlined by the teacher) and the conduct of a written modular control work. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a test.
