Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Analyze, comment on, summarize, scientific and analytical texts of ethnocultural nature.
PLO 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence.
PLO 7. Understand the factors of ethno-cultural dynamics, principles of periodization of ethno-cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To study this discipline, students should use the knowledge and skills developed in the course of studying the courses of the CC. 11. "Introduction to Ethnocultural Studies", CC. 13. "Ukrainian ritual culture", CC. 29. "Ukrainian oral culture". Must know the basic cultural concepts and terms, patterns of development and structure of cultural phenomena;
Be able to collect and interpret information on the phenomena of folk culture, work with various sources of scientific information;
Possess basic skills in analyzing elements of folk culture and abstracting a scientific text.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is aimed at achieving the general and professional competencies of the graduate in the projection on the material of the discipline, in particular: GC 2. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activities. PC 3. Ability to critically analyze cultural phenomena and processes using general scientific and special scientific methods. PC 4. Ability to understand and interpret sources of culture (written, material, visual) taking into account different contexts (historical, social, anthropological, political, religious, environmental, etc.)
Annotation. The course is devoted to the retransmission of cultural ideas to specific material cultural objects or verbal texts. The multichannel transmission of cultural codes is considered; the diversity of signifiers used in traditional culture, the mechanisms of information encoding and the process of familiarity formation are shown.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
During the semester, the assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in paragraph 7.1. The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who have scored a minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "pass" grade. Students who do not score the minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "fail" grade. Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must pass the test by completing the material on the topics for which they have a debt in the form of independent and laboratory work, essays, or, if necessary, write a test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the credit-rating system, which provides for the assessment of theoretical training (learning outcomes 1.1-1.4); assessment of practical training (learning outcomes 2.1-2.4); assessment of communication (learning outcomes 3.1-3.2). The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of oral answers at seminars, individual work and control work.
