Learning outcomes
PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information about various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.
PLO 7. Understand the factors of ethno-cultural dynamics, principles of periodization of ethno-cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics.
PLO 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethno-cultural products, determine their qualitative characteristics based on a comprehensive analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prior to taking this course, students should know the semantics of ritual practices, the functional load of texts of contemporary folklore, and the specifics of the interaction between folklore and mass culture. To be able to analyze the mythological basis of rituals, to distinguish similar motifs and plots in synchrony and diachrony, to determine the period of layering of verbal or action elements on a cultural tradition. Possess basic skills of scientific research, comparative method, critical thinking and determine the basis of cultural ideas, unified parts of the tradition.
Course content
The objectives of the discipline are aimed at achieving the general and professional competencies of the graduate in the projection on the material of the discipline, in particular: GC 3. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. PC 4. Ability to understand and interpret sources of culture (written, material, visual), taking into account different contexts (historical, social, anthropological, political, religious, environmental, etc.) PC 6. Ability to analyze cultural policy in institutions at different levels. PC 7. Ability to justify decisions on the regulation of relations in the field of culture based on an understanding of the specifics of socio-cultural processes. PC 9. Ability to evaluate the material and spiritual value of the cultural heritage of different historical periods and geographical areas.The discipline "Anthropology of Urban Culture" is included in the list of compulsory disciplines and is taught in the first or second semester of the master's degree - in accordance with the curriculum for a specific philological educational program. The discipline "Anthropology of Urban Culture" studies the conceptual boundaries of the concepts of "Urban Culture", "City Culture", "City Subcultures", their social significance, problems of interdependence and mutual influence. The theoretical content of the course is aimed at studying the problem of interaction between urban culture and traditional folklore, its genetic connection with folk culture, researching the conditions of functioning of folklore texts in new socio-communicative realities, genre and stylistic features of new folklore texts and works of urban culture.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
During the semester, the assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in paragraph 7.1. The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who have scored a minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "pass" grade. Students who do not score the minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "fail" grade. Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must pass the test by completing the material on the topics for which they have a debt in the form of independent and laboratory work, essays, or, if necessary, write a test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the credit-rating system, which provides for the assessment of theoretical training (learning outcomes 1.1-1.4); assessment of practical training (learning outcomes 2.1-2.4); assessment of communication (learning outcomes 3.1-3.2). The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of oral answers at seminars, individual work and control work.
