Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the basics of jurisprudence, geography of continents and oceans, general hydrology, meteorology and climatology, ecology and world economy. Basic knowledge of the English language.
Course content
The discipline provides students with a holistic view of interstate structures of hydro-ecological cooperation in the management of transboundary water resources; studies general principles and approaches to state water policy in, international legal regulation in the field of hydrometeorology, evolution state and world policy in the field of environmental protection, general international issues and provisions of international legal acts; contributes to the acquisition of practical skills in the analysis of the activities of state organizations, their influence at different levels of the hierarchy of management of transboundary river basins.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points.
