Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres. PR 08. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying natural processes of formation and development of geospheres. PR12. Develop projects and practical recommendations in the field of earth sciences, educational projects and local development projects.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Meteorology", "Physics", "Chemistry" 2. The ability to independently apply knowledge from the school course of physics, chemistry, and other educational disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; to work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of elementary skills of comparative analysis, establishment of cause and effect relationships, as well as system analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Atmospheric chemistry examines the theoretical foundations of scientific knowledge in the field of atmospheric chemistry, introduces the chemical processes occurring in the Earth's atmosphere, modern problems of atmospheric air, in particular, the consequences of anthropogenic pollution of the atmosphere. Gives basic concepts that characterize the state, interaction and evolution of the main biogeochemical cycles in the conditions of the functioning of the Earth - atmosphere - solar radiation system; the main mechanisms of entry and exit of pollutants in the atmosphere; considers the problems of the formation of air polluting substances, which include both natural and anthropogenic sources.
