Learning outcomes
Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization (PRN-1); Conduct research and/or carry out innovative activities in order to obtain new knowledge, develop new methods and procedures in geography (PRN-4); Apply modern models and information technologies for conducting research and development in the field of geography, geomorphology, paleogeography (PRN-6); Conduct research on natural and geographical manifestations of the development of geosystems in complex and unpredictable conditions, forecast their development, analyze alternatives, assess risks and probable consequences (PRN-8); Apply geo-information technologies, create and research models of natural and geographical manifestations of the development of geosystems (PRN-10); Plan and carry out theoretical and applied research, draw reasonable conclusions, analyze and present research results (PRN-12)

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the OP disciplines "Geomorphology and Paleogeography" 2. Be able to select and critically analyze information and cartographic data sources. 3. To know the basic quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them in production and research activities; to be able to model objects and processes, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geo-information technologies.
Course content
The master's qualification work is an independent scientific study that reflects the results of acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills of conducting scientific research in a professional direction. 180 hours of independent work are allotted for writing the paper. The master's qualification work involves: • systematization, consolidation, expansion of theoretical and practical knowledge of the chosen specialty and their application in solving specific tasks; • development of independent work skills (formation of students' skills in search, critical evaluation, preparation, organization and analysis of various sources of information and data in order to solve theoretical, methodological and applied problems in the field of natural geography).
