Learning outcomes
PRN1. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization. PRN4. Develop, manage and manage projects of geographic and interdisciplinary orientation, evaluate and ensure the quality of works PRN12. Plan and carry out theoretical and applied research, draw reasonable conclusions, analyze and present research results. PRN14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, determine relevant aspects in fundamental and applied areas of research, develop and manage projects in the field of geography, in particular, geomorphology and paleogeography, nature management, urban and regional development. PRN15. Independently assess the key trends in the development of natural and geographical processes for the formation of new areas of scientific research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geomorphology and paleogeography, normative documents in the specialized field; 2) ability to work with literary sources, statistical data, cartographic materials, data of remote sensing of the Earth's surface, Internet resources; 3) skills of field and camera landscape research, free use of GIS.
Course content
The educational discipline considers modern methods and innovative solutions for the organization and conduct of scientific research and assessment of the possibilities of their applied use.

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey, assessment of preparation for seminar classes, independent work, MKR. The final assessment in the form of credit is defined as the sum of points for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. Scores below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final score. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored less than 60 points, it is mandatory to resubmit those types of work for which they received a grade lower than the permissible minimum.
