PRN01. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural and socio-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization.
PRN04. Conduct research and/or conduct innovative activities in order to obtain new knowledge, develop new methods and procedures in geography.
PRN08. Conduct research on natural and socio-geographical manifestations of the development of geosystems in complex and unpredictable conditions, forecast their development, analyze alternatives, assess risks and probable consequences.
PRN10. Apply geo-information technologies, create and research models of natural and socio-geographical manifestations of the development of geosystems, determine the possibilities and limits of their application.
PRN12. Plan and carry out theoretical and applied research, draw reasonable conclusions, analyze and present research results.

            1) know the basics of anthropogenic paleogeography, Quaternary geology, paleoecology and evolution of the biosphere, geoarchaeology and have a general idea of prehistoric and historical human development.
2) to be able to establish relationships between anthropogenic and natural components of ecosystems.
3) to have elementary skills of system analysis, to understand cause-and-effect relationships between the components of nature.

            Course content

The discipline consists of two content modules. The first one analyzes the regularities of the influence of the natural conditions of human habitation on the change in its anthropological types, on the change in the location and types of settlements, the change in material cultures, migration processes, as well as on the natural and scientific methods of studying archaeological monuments. The main stages of the development of man and material cultures during the Pleistocene and their correlation with the existing regional and global paleogeographic schemes are considered.
The second content module examines the regularities of the influence of the natural conditions of human habitation of the Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages on changes in the location and types of settlements, changes in material cultures, ways of managing the development of the environment and management, migration processes, as well as on natural and scientific methods the study of archaeological monuments, dated to the Holocene deposits.
