Full-time form

1) know the basics of Quaternary geology, ecology, biogeography, general earth science, landscape science, as well as possess knowledge of the physical geography of the world and Ukraine; 2) be able to establish relationships between ecosystem components, analyze them; 3) to have elementary skills of system analysis, to understand the cause-and-effect relationships between the components of nature.

The discipline consists of two content modules. In the first, the basics of paleoecology methodology, a complex of methods of paleogeomorphological, paleopedological reconstructions and absolute dating, and paleoecological conditions during the Paleo- and Eopleistocene are considered. In the second content module, a complex of methods of paleobotanical, paleofaunistic, paleolandscape reconstructions, as well as the dynamics of paleoecological conditions during the Neopleistocene are considered.

Assessment of performance of tasks of practical works, modular control work, credit. The maximum number of points on the test is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to semester marks is 30 points. Completion of all practical assignments provided for in the work program and writing of modular test papers is mandatory for credit. The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 30 points. For students who scored a total of less points than the recommended minimum (30 points), it is mandatory to resubmit those types of work for which they received a grade lower than the permissible minimum.
