Learning outcomes
To know the different types of economic policy, the history of their origin and development. To know the fundamental economic theories used to develop state economic policy in different historical periods. To know the specialities of the implementation of economic policy depending on the fluctuations of economic conditions throughout the history of the market economy. The ability to analyze the impact of major socio-economic factors that determined the dominant type of economic policy. The ability to analyze efficiency and compare different types of economic policy. TUsing the acquired knowledge to understand the nature and development of state economic policy and its effectiveness. The ability to explain economic policy measures on the basis of theoretical models and analyze and interpret them meaningfully. The ability to think broadly, understand the charachteristics of the economic policy and argue them on own position.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to successfully master the discipline, the courses “Economic History”, “History of Economic Thought”, “Macroeconomics”, “Microeconomics” must be studied in advance
Course content
The discipline is aimed at explaining and studying changes in the implementation of economic policy. Socio-economic and political transformations in societies created new problems that required constant updating of the scientific basis for the implementation of state economic policy. The discipline provides an opportunity to analyze the main scientific ideas, concepts, theories used to justify economic policy at a certain historical stage, as well as continue to be used in modern economic policy.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Participation in work at seminars – (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1) – 10 points (max) / 6 points (min). 2. Testing (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.3) during semester, 20 points (max) / 12 points (min). 3. Participation in discussions of case studies (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1) during semester – 10 points (max) / 6 points (min). 3. Maximum scores for Modules 1 and 2 are 20 points for each, 12 points (min) for each. 4. Unsupervised work (LO 1.1-1.3; 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1) includes 20 (max) points (acceptable minimum is 12 points). 6. Final written test (max. points 20 / min. points 12) includes theoretical questions and multiple-choice tests. A total of 80 points (maximum) can be obtained during the semester. 20 points correspond to the results of the final written test. To pass the course the overall score should be 60 or above. 7.5. Final assessment The final grade in the student's discipline is set based on the results of work during the semester
