Course content
Study discipline "Hydrology" devoted to the study of general regularities of processes in the hydrosphere; interconnections of the hydrosphere with the atmosphere, lithosphere, biosphere; circulation water on Earth; the main regularities of the geographical distribution of water bodies of different types and their reserves: rivers, lakes, glaciers, underground waters, swamps, oceans and of the seas Information is provided on the power sources of water bodies, their water, thermal, ice regime, formation of chemical composition, their significance and use, about the main instruments and means of hydrometric observations and methods of hydrological research on water bodies. and attention is also paid the role of water in the functioning of ecosystems, the influence of anthropogenic factors on components of the environment, on the flow of water, manifested in changes the volume and quality of water resources and the vital activity of organisms; is shown the practical importance of the study of water bodies and studies of hydrological processes to solve the problems of nature protection.
