Learning outcomes
Apply the fundamental principles of development in finance, banking, and insurance in conjunction with research and managerial tools for professional and scientific activities. (PR1) Have knowledge, at the level of the latest advancements, of the fundamental concepts and methodologies of scientific understanding in the field of finance, banking, and insurance.(PR2) Resolve, process, systematize, and analyze the information necessary for addressing professional and scientific tasks in the field of finance, banking, and insurance.(PR4) Justify the relevance of research, the possibility of achieving the set goals considering available resources, propose hypotheses, and argue conclusions based on research results.(PR14)

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The bachelor's degree, basic knowledge in finance, skills in analysis, synthesis, processing, and presentation of statistical data, and working with regulatory frameworks.
Course content
This discipline is dedicated to studying the theoretical and practical foundations of the methodology and organization of scientific research in the field of finance. It covers the essence, principles, and peculiarities of the methodology of scientific economic research. It also focuses on the practical application of constructing conceptual frameworks and research methods in conducting master's research, writing master's theses, and other scientific works.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The goal of this discipline is to master the methodology and techniques of conducting scientific research during the preparation and writing of master's theses, scientific papers, and various forms of scientific work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment is based on a modular-rating system, which involves a two-level evaluation of the acquired material. The assessment of theoretical preparation (20%) includes: oral presentations (30%), questioning (20%), testing (50%), and the assessment of practical preparation (80%) involves the completion of creative analytical and computational tasks: presentation (25%), individual analytical work (60%), and calculation tasks (15%). The semester's score is formed by the points obtained by the student during the learning process of all topics in the content modules, the completion of all specified types of work, and the execution of individual analytical and computational tasks.
