Learning outcomes
OPL 5. Plan the activities of the organization in strategic and tactical sections. OPL 6. Have the skills to make, justify and ensure the implementation of management decisions in unpredictable conditions, taking into account the requirements of current legislation, ethical considerations and social responsibility. OPL 17. Apply modern tools for the management of intellectual property in organizations of various economic activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "Management". "Marketing", "Fundamentals of Science and Technology and Innovation Policy", "Strategic Management", "Organization and Management of Innovations". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of macro- and microeconomics, psychology, sociology, law, economic theory, finance, business economics. 3. Be able to calculate economic indicators, process statistical data, analyze statistical information. 4. Have basic skills: mathematical modeling, forecasting, using Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Course content
Content module 1: "Theoretical principles of patent and licensing activities" covers the following issues: the essence of patent and licensing activities and their place in the management system of a modern organization, managerial aspects of licensing practice about objects of copyright and related rights, non-traditional objects of intellectual property. Content module 2: "Practical aspects of patent and licensing activities" contains questions: patent research, organization of their conduct, patent and licensing strategies, organization of patent and licensing activities, assessment of the intellectual property of the organization, technology transfer management, preparation and conclusion of contracts in the field of patent and licensing activities, competitive intelligence in the management of patent and licensing activities of the organization.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Problem-oriented learning: lectures; seminars; discussion; consideration of practical situations; performance of situational tasks; performance and presentation of group and individual tasks; consultations; independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: Semester assessment is carried out during the semester for all types of work: surveys, performance, presentation of individual tasks, participation in discussions, performance of situational, calculation tasks.
Forms of student assessment: (max. Points 60 / minimum points 36):
1. survey, performance of situational tasks, participation in discussions, solving analytical and computational tasks (LO 1; 2.1, 2.3; 3.1; 4.1) - 20 points / 12 points.
2. independent work - preparation of 2 individual tasks (10 and 30 points) (LO 1.1; 1.2; 2.1-2.3 3; 4) - 40 points / 24 points.
The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam with a maximum score of 40 points (marginal score of 24 points). The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points), which is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester and the results of the exam. The learning outcomes that are assessed during the exam are LO 1.1. - 4.3.
