Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Formulate, analyze and synthesize solutions for scientific and practical problems. PLO 9. Make effective decisions under conditions of uncertainty and challenges that require the use of new approaches, methods, and tools of socio-economic, political and economic research. PLO 14. Design scenarios and strategies for the development of socio-economic systems. PLO 18. Formulate new hypotheses and scientific tasks in the field of economics and economic policy, choose appropriate approaches and methods to solve them, taking into account the available resources.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: basic microeconomic models, principles of optimization, definitions of basic microeconomic categories and terms. To master: basics of differential calculus, analysis of graphical models.
Course content
The course has the content of studying the following groups of problems of microeconomic theory: the theory of household - consumer choice in terms of certainty and uncertainty; firm theory - the theory of production and costs, the behavior of the firm in conditions of perfect and imperfect competition, perfect and imperfect information; market coordination and functioning of resource markets; assessment of the state of the economy; factors that disrupt the optimal functioning of markets and the economy; social welfare. As a result of mastering the discipline, the student acquires the ability to solve problems and solve practical problems that arise at the microeconomic level of the economy, based on the concept of rational behavior of economic entities.
