Learning outcomes
LO7. Choose effective methods of managing economic activity, substantiate the proposed solutions on the basis of relevant data and scientific and applied research. LO8. Collect, process and analyze statistical data, scientific and analytical materials necessary for solving complex economic tasks, implementation of consulting activities. LO11. Determine and critically evaluate the state and trends of social and economic development, form and analyze models of economic systems and processes. LO12. To substantiate management decisions regarding the effective development of business entities, taking into account goals, resources, limitations and risks. LO13. Assess possible risks, socio-economic consequences of management decisions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the basic principles of modern theory of micro- and macroeconomics, the basic principles of enterprise functioning, methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory, modern information technologies in the economy, methods of descriptive business statistics. 2. Possess: applied data processing programs, statistical processing and data visualization skills, working with the legal framework, statistical techniques and methods of processing large data sets, and systemic analytical thinking skills.
Course content
The content of the discipline is revealed in the following topics: the study of the features of planning and formation of random sample populations, as well as the economic interpretation of their results in order to establish trends and patterns of development and make management decisions; verification of discrepancies for several samples characterizing business processes; statistical measurement of various types of relationships in the analysis of business processes; multiple regression and features of its application in business processes; modeling of business processes over time; non-parametric methods in the analysis of business processes; application of statistical methods for qualitative data characterizing business processes; statistical methods of quality control.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Participation in work at practical classes (presentation of completed situational analysis in small groups and independent performance of practical exercises) - 20 points / 12 points. 2. Control module work - 20 points / 12 points. 3. Execution of an independent individual calculation project - 20 points / 12 points. - final evaluation in the form of an exam. The maximum score is 40 points, the threshold score is 24 points. The exam is held in written form and consists of calculation tasks.
