Learning outcomes
PLO4. Understand the principles of economics, features of economic systems.
PLO5. Apply analytical and methodological tools to substantiate proposals and make management decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and public authorities).
PLO6. Use professional reasoning to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity.
PLO12. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and meaningfully interpret the results.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The study of the discipline "Management" is based on mastering the courses "Economic Theory", "Microeconomics", "Fundamentals of Labor Law", which reveal the content of economic laws, the mechanism of their action, create conditions for using these laws in organizing enterprises and identifying ways and trends in their development. The provisions of these sciences are the theoretical basis for the construction of the course "Management" and determine the methodological approaches to solving management problems in a dynamic transformation of market relations, uncertainty and turbulence. In addition to these disciplines, "Management" is closely related to other disciplines: "Marketing", "Business Economics", "Finance", "Investment".
Course content
The course program consists of two content modules.
Content module 1. Theoretical principles of management. Management - the science, practice and art of management. Management and governance: common and different. Subject, object and subject of management. Principles of management. Laws and laws of management. Management levels and management subsystems of the organization. Organization as an object of management. Life cycle and basic models of the organization. Internal and external environment of the organization: characteristics and methods of analysis. Organizational management structures. Evolution and trends in the development of organizational management structures.
Content module 2. Technologies and practice of management. Information and communication in management. Making and implementing management decisions. Leadership and leadership. Conflict and stress management. Ethics and responsibility in management. Effectiveness of management.
