Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basic concepts of physics (such as speed, acceleration, mass, matter, light), astronomy (star, planet, galaxy), biology and chemistry (molecule, cell, organism). To understand physical formulas, it is necessary to know the basics of higher mathematics. In addition, general knowledge about the history of human development (including history of economics and economic thought) is desirable for understanding the evolution of scientific thought in Antiquity, the Middle Ages, Renaissance, etc.
Course content
“Scientific Image of the World” is an integral discipline of the cycle "Natural Sciences". It is necessary for the formation of the professional scientific image of the world of specialists along with humanities. Scientific methods are widely used in the study of other disciplines, which are studied in the following semesters of the bachelor's degree and in the master's degree in the theory and practice of economic theory The discipline consists of three modules: 1. "History of Science", which deals with general issues of the development of scientific thought from antiquity to the 21st century and the evolution of mankind's ideas about the Universe; 2. "Physics and Cosmology", which examines modern concepts of the structure of matter, the origin of the Universe and the structure of the Universe; 3. "Biology and the World of the Future", which examines the problems of the origin and evolution of life, as well as the most pressing problems and challenges facing modern science, such as the creation of artificial intelligence
