Learning outcomes
PLO 5. To apply analytical and methodical tools for substantiating proposals and making managerial decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and government authorities). PLO 8. To apply appropriate economic and mathematical methods and models for solving economic problems in the field of economics and economic policy. PLO 13. To identify sources and understand the methodology of determination and methods for obtaining socio-economic data, collect and analyze the necessary information, calculate economic and social indicators.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The basis for studying this discipline is such academic disciplines as: "Economic Theory", "Higher Mathematics for Economists", "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics for Economists", "Modern Information Technologies in Economics". In turn, knowledge in this discipline contributes to the successful completion of term papers. 1. Know the theoretical and methodological bases of economic theory, probability theory and mathematical statistics. 2. Have the skills to use software tools for data processing and visualization.
Course content
The program consists: module 1 "Descriptive Statistics", which examines methods of collection, registration of mass data, their primary processing: systematization and grouping, generalization and comparison using averages, absolute and relative values, as well as methods of evaluation and analysis variations, differentiations, concentrations and comparisons of structures in time and space; Module 2 "Analytical Statistics", which reveals methods for testing statistical hypotheses about the characteristics of the sample and the conformity of the empirical distribution to the theoretical, the significance of differences in averages and shares in comparable populations, as well as variances, random relationships; methods of analysis of development trends and seasonal fluctuations, index analysis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, exam. Speeches and discussions of theoretical issues, seminars and problem solving are carried out during scheduled seminars. Tests are performed: in the 2nd semester - the first in the 8th week, the second - in the 15th week of study. Independent computational and analytical work (topics № 1-4, 5-7) is performed in the 2nd semester at 6 and 13 weeks.
Assessment methods and criteria
assessment during the academic period (60 points maximum / 36 points minimum): 1. Participation in seminars (reports, answers to theoretical questions, independent implementation of seminars). 2. Test work (topics 1-5) RS 1.1-1.2, RS 2.1-2.2 = 10 points / 6 points 3. Test (6-9) RS 2.2-2.3, RS 3.1 = 10 points / 6 points 4. Independent calculation and analytical work and presentation of the results of RS 2.1 - 2.3, RS 3.1 - 3.2, RS 4.1 - 4.2 = 20 points / 12 points final grade in the form of an exam (40 points maximum / 24 points required minimum)
