Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student have to know the general principles of philosophy, ethics and other humanitarian disciplines..
The student have to be able to work with scientific sources of information, be able to analyze them, draw conclusions and build hypotheses and assumptions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to give students knowledge and skills of the psychological foundations of the analysis of human personality, interpretation of its behavior based on modern theories of personality. The discipline acquaints with the variety of approaches to the analysis of personality, its typological and socio-psychological characteristics, patterns and mechanisms of personality development in ontogenesis. Students study the most famous theories of personality (S. Freud, K. Jung, K. Horney, etc.), learn to use them in self-knowledge and explain the behavior and actions of others. In general, the course helps to increase the level of psychological competence, develops the psychological culture, which is the basis for successful professional activity.

Teaching methods: practical classes, independent work, discussions, case studies, work in mini-groups.
Assessment methods and criteria
Work on the project - 24 (minimum 14) points. Oral answers - 28 (minimum 17) points. Group projects - 28 (minimum 17) points. Test - 20 (minimum 12 points).
Evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work. In the classroom, the activity of participants, participation in discussions and work in mini-groups is evaluated; at the end of the course the final test is conducted. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100.
Form of final control - credit. The credit is based on the results of the student's work during the semester and does not provide additional assessment activities for successful students.
Rating scale: 0-59 - not credited, 60-100 - credited
