Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Describe the content of the functional areas of the organization. PLO 6. Demonstrate skills of search, collection and analysis of information, calculation of indicators to justify management decisions. PLO 8. Apply management methods to ensure the effectiveness of organizations of various types of economic activity. PLO 11. Demonstrate skills of situation analysis and communication in various areas of the organization. PLO 17. Conduct research individually and/or in a leader-led group.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: basics of economic theory, macro- and microeconomics; basic principles of economy and functioning of an enterprise; general logic of administration theory and management theory; basics of organizational design; marketing. 2. Have the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical data, calculation of economic indicators, work with the normative and legal base and internal documents of the company; elementary skills of using Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Course content
The study of the conceptual foundations of logistics and peculiarities of its management; the concept of a logistics chain and the various flows in it; the specifics of integrated logistics systems; the methodological apparatus of logistics; the latest forms and tools of logistics. The discipline includes: the basics of management of functional areas of logistics: information, procurement, production, storage (inventory), transport, trade and mediation, logistics services; the basis for the development and formation of logistics strategy of the enterprise. Illuminates the mechanisms of analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of logistics management at the enterprise.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student evaluation forms: (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) 1. Oral questioning, discussion, seminar work - 10 points / 6 points; 2. Problem solving, analytical and calculational tasks - 20 points / 12 points; 3.Testing - 20 points / 12 points; 4. Modular control work (2 MCWs, 5 points each max) - 10 points / 6 points; 5. Independent work (complex work with presentation of results) - 20 points / 12 points; 6. Final control work - 20 points / 12 points. Final assessment.
