Learning outcomes
PLO4. Understand the principles of economics, features of economic systems.
PLO16. Be able to use data, provide arguments, critically evaluate logic and draw conclusions from scientific and analytical texts on economics.
PLO21. Be able to think abstractly, apply analysis and synthesis to identify key characteristics of economic systems at different levels, as well as the behavior of their subjects.
PLO22. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in new situations, in working with new objects, and in uncertain conditions.
PLO28. Interpret and manage economic data, find information about the generation, structure and meaning of economic data, analyze data sources.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the methods of analysis in the disciplines: "Higher Mathematics for Economists", "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics".
Be able to use software for processing large amounts of data and problem-oriented application packages.
Course content
The curriculum consists of two content modules: module - 1 "Descriptive Statistics", which examines statistical methods of collection, registration of mass data, their primary processing: systematization, grouping and regrouping, generalization and comparison using averages, absolute and relative values, as well as methods for estimating and analyzing variation, differentiation, concentration and comparison of structures in time and space, module 2 - "Analytical Statistics", which reveals methods for testing statistical hypotheses on: characteristics of the sample, the empirical distribution of theoretical comparable aggregates, as well as variances, randomness of the relationship between the signs; methods of analysis of development trends and seasonal fluctuations, index analysis.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Participation in practical classes (speeches, practical exercises) - 15 points / 9 points (PLO 4, 16, 21, 22, 28).
2. 2 tests (topics 1-5 and 6-9) - each 30 points / 18 points (PLO 4, 16, 21, 22, 28).
- final evaluation:
maximum score of 25 points, boundary score - 15 points. The test takes place in writing, consists of theoretical answers, tests, calculation task.
