The study of the discipline «IT Project Management Technologies» examines the basic concepts of project management in the IT industry, provides the main project management methodologies: PMBOK, MSF, etc. Models, methods and tools and technologies for IT project management are considered. The approaches of the flexible methodology for managing IT projects Agile, including the Scrum framework, are considered. The roles of project team members in flexible methodologies, the principles and manifesto of Agile, and the features of project structuring in Agile are formulated. The discipline is aimed at developing a systematic understanding of IT project management technologies, approaches, models and frameworks for IT project management, mastering methods and tools for managing IT projects when solving management problems. Forming the ability to practically apply methods and tools for IT project management, testing the learned methods by constructing an IT project management plan based on one’s own experience in project activities.

Lectures, Laboratory classes, Student's work independently

Student assessment is carried out from all types of work, including the study of theoretical material, laboratory work, and individual tasks, modular control works. The maximum number of points that a student can receive for work during the semester is 60 points on a 100-point scale. Summative assessment is an exam in test form. The overall score for the exam is 40 points on a 100-point scale. If a student receives less than 24 points during the exam, they get an «unsatisfactory» grade and the earned points are not counted. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points, the critically calculated minimum is 25 points. In order to be admitted to the exam, it is mandatory to complete all laboratory work and receive a positive assessment from the semester modular control work.
