Preparation of a master's degree in specialty 103 - Earth Sciences at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is an educational and scientific level of higher education, which requires the student (Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", 2014) to conduct their own research, the results of which have scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance. Relevant research is provided as part of the educational process of the educational and scientific program in the form of a master's degree.

Full-time form

According to the standard of higher education in specialty 103 (Draft standard of higher education in specialty 103 Earth Sciences at the educational level of master, 2017) the master's thesis should include analysis of literary sources and results of independent creative work of students with material obtained and processed by him personally.

Master's thesis is an independent, creative research work, which is the final stage of training for the ONP master's degree, and is performed for obtaining the appropriate qualification (educational, professional). Completing a master's thesis is a mandatory part of the educational process.

Independent work of applicants.

Intermediate reporting on the results of the work performed; preliminary defense of the work at the department; verification of compliance with academic integrity for textual borrowings; defense of the master's thesis at a meeting of the department's examination committee.
