- Basic concepts and terms of interpretation of seismic survey data - Classification of methods of kinematic interpretation - Know the technology of building high-speed models - Classification of methods of dynamic interpretation - Basic concepts of AVO-analysis and the tasks it solves - Technologies of seismic inversions and methods of forecasting geological section by seismic and well data - Process and describe the results of seismic data processing and explain their relationship to geological objects - Have basic skills in computer programs for qualitative and quantitative interpretation of seismic data

Course content
The program of the discipline focuses on qualitative and quantitative analysis of seismic wave fields, as well as computer principles of interpretation of observed seismic data, AVO-analysis and seismic inversion. Approaches to solving inverse seismic data problems and integration with GDS methods are considered. Techniques of qualitative and quantitative interpretation are studied, which are explained by real examples. The review includes geological aspects of seismic exploration, the main provisions of AVO-analysis, issues of seismic inversion theory and practical application to seismic data of inversions before and after summation.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves: performing independent works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems without limiting the tools and techniques of problem solving) and conducting 2 written modular tests. The final evaluation is conducted in the form of a test.
