Know the theoretical foundations of geology, geodesy, higher and engineering geodesy, topographic and thematic mapping, mapping and updating maps,
remote sensing of the Earth and photogrammetry, land management, real estate appraisal and land cadastre.
- Use geostatistical data and mathematical modeling to process geodetic and geological research.
- Have modern technologies for data collection, processing, exchange, transformation and integration in various fields of geosciences.

For successful mastering of this discipline it is necessary to understand the general geological issues taught in such disciplines as "General
geology "," Hydrogeology "," Fundamentals of geophysics "," Engineering geology "," Fundamentals of geochemistry "," Mineralogy "," Search and exploration of mineral deposits "and others; as well as physical and mathematical disciplines taught in the blocks of normative and variable disciplines: "Linear algebra and analytical geometry", "Mathematical analysis", "Physics", "Probability theory and mathematical statistics".

The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the practical aspects of using mathematical methods in geological applications.
The task is to acquire practical skills of formulation and solution of applied geological problems by methods of mathematical modeling. The course consists of two content modules. The first is devoted to a review of formal mathematical methods and their algorithmic implementations, which are widely used in geological applications. The second content module is devoted to the practical implementation of specific algorithms on the collection of applied problems.
