- Apply conceptual knowledge of natural and socio-economic sciences in performing tasks of geodesy and land management.
- Apply models, methods and data of physics, ecology, mathematics, geology, hydrogeology in the study of natural and social processes of formation and development of land resources and real estate as objects of evaluation.

Course content
Within the course, students gain basic knowledge about groundwater and their classification, hydrogeological stratification, types of groundwater, as well as environmental impact (natural and anthropogenic) on groundwater and vice versa. Also, students will be introduced to basic ideas about the geological environment as the basis or location of engineering structures; interaction of geological environment and engineering structures; with the main factors of formation of engineering-geological conditions of territories, the basic principles of ecological geology.

Assessment methods and criteria
control includes 7 laboratory works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge) and 2 written tests in the 3rd semester and 6 laboratory works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge) and 2 written tests in the 4th semester. Assessment in the 3rd semester involves an intermediate control, which is calculated as the sum (simple or weighted) of points for systematic work during the semester. There is no separate form of control at the end of the 3rd semester. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral exam in the 4th semester.
