Learning outcomes
Know the hydrogeological stratification and classification of groundwater, basic information on the dynamics of groundwater and the assessment of groundwater reserves. Be able to identify water-bearing and water-resistant rocks, master the techniques and methods for constructing and working with hydrogeological maps and sections, determine water inflow to water intake facilities.

Students will receive the necessary knowledge on the principles and methodological approaches to the study of groundwater; get the necessary skills to build and use hydrogeological maps and sections; learn modern methods of managing the underground hydrosphere.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control involves lab works and 2 written tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written and oral exam. The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. A student is not allowed to take the final grade if he/she scored less than 20 points during the semester. During the semester the student can score from 36 to 60 points. During the exam the student can get from 24 to 40 points
