Learning outcomes
- Perform examinations and survey, topographic and geodetic, cartographic, design and design and survey work in the performance of professional tasks in geodesy and land management. - Collect, evaluate, interpret and use geospatial data, metadata on objects of natural and man-made origin, apply statistical methods of their analysis to solve specialized problems in the field of geodesy and land management.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to better master the discipline, applicants must have knowledge of the basics of soil science and the basics of geoinformatics.
Course content
The discipline "Soil Survey and Soil Mapping" provides knowledge about the complex study of soil cover in some parts of the earth's surface, identifying the relationship between soils and soil conditions, identifying patterns of spatial distribution of types, subtypes and varieties of soils, soil maps, soil maps zoning, qualitative assessment of soils and lands, agro-industrial characteristics of soils and cartograms of the content of mobile forms of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium in soils, scientific substantiation of the principles of rational land use.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves 12 practical works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher), conducting written modular tests. The test is conducted in writing and orally.
