Learning outcomes
Physical properties of rocks, oil and gas reservoirs and formation fluids. Natural modes of operation of oil and gas reservoirs. Schemes of development of oil and gas fields. Techniques and technologies of hydrocarbon production. Methods of increasing oil-gas-condensate recovery and intensification of hydrocarbon production. Collection and preparation of oil, gas and oil wastewater. Indicators of development of fields and deposits, their industrial-geological and geophysical control and methods of regulation. Changes in the properties of formation fluids during development and their use in flood control and contact position; substantiation of product selection standards. Geological observations and data processing during drilling, opening of layers and exploration of oil and gas wells.
Form of study
Distance form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of physics, chemistry, mathematics (at the level of non-core specialties of higher education), basics of geophysical research, of sedimentary rocks petrograph. Basic computer skills.
Course content
Getting acquainted with the basics of designing and developing oil and gas fields. Introduction to the properties of formation hydrocarbons, types of traps, oil and gas fields, properties and characteristics of reservoir rocks, screens, fluid-resistant rocks. Students get acquainted with the stages of development of hydrocarbon deposits, the use of different types of reservoir energy during production; methods and means of increasing oil and gas recovery. Introduction to onshore and deep equipment used in oil and gas production. Introduction to the main tasks of oil and gas geology and its role in the development of hydrocarbon deposits.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical work, independent work of students.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves: performing 4 practical works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher), conducting 3 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written test.
