Learning outcomes
Know: The history of the development of metallogenic research. Metallogeny of folded geosynclinal belts. Metallogeny of platforms. Metallogeny of Archean cratons and epicratonic depressions. Metallogeny of Proterozoic mobile belts and activation zones of epicratonic depressions. Metallogeny of the provinces of the Ukrainian shield, the Carpathian province, the Dnipro-Donetsk depression. Be able to: Work with metallogenic and forecast maps. Analyze the metallogenic zoning of the territory of Ukraine. Determine the types of ore formations

Course content
The main attention is paid to the methods of metallogenic research; sources and conditions of concentration of metals in different types of deposits; metallogenic periodization; metallogenic features of Precambrian and folded Phanerozoic regions; Wilson's orogenic cycle and associated mineral deposits; modern ideas about ore concentration and the formation of large and unique deposits; the principles of metallogenic zoning of territories; metallogenic zoning of the territory of Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. Final assessment in the form of credit: maximum assessment 20 points, cut-off assessment 12 points. Semester assessment: conducting 2 modular control works, each of which is valued at 10 points, and practical work - a total of 60 points.
