Learning outcomes
Know the features of the formation of the chemical composition of natural waters at great depths; the main conditions for the formation of groundwater in oil and gas fields; methodology of oil and gas hydrogeological research to be able to perform hydrogeological research in the search, exploration and production of oil and gas; assess the oil prospecting and industrial significance of groundwater

Have knowledge of the discipline "Hydrogeology".
Course content
Students will become familiar with different types of groundwater, their geochemical composition and genesis in order to determine the role of groundwater in the migration and accumulation of oil and gas; study the possibilities of forming underground gas and other hydrocarbon storage facilities

Assessment methods and criteria
The control involves the implementation of practical work and 2 written tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written test. The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. A student is not allowed to take the final grade if he / she scored less than 40 points during the semester. During the semester the student can score from 48 to 80 points. During the test the student can get from 12 to 20 points
