For successful mastery of knowledge from disciplines, students must have basic knowledge of natural and social geography, and as well as basic knowledge of geography teaching methods.

to give students knowledge about the structure and content of the study geography programs for general secondary education institutions, content of school ones geography courses, knowledge of geography teaching methods in institutions of general secondary education, including its scientific foundations and applied aspects; to form among students at the base knowledge acquired at the University, professional skills and abilities to solve practical problems tasks and problems in professional activity, to make independent decisions during work in specific socio-economic conditions, to raise the need systematically to replenish their knowledge and creatively apply it in practical activities.
