Learning outcomes
To know: Regulatory legal acts that govern the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions; the specifics of organizing educational work in higher education institutions; the main forms, methods, and methodologies for conducting educational sessions in higher education institutions; criteria for evaluating students' academic achievements; and methods for conducting educational work with students.
To be able to: Analyze the practical experience of higher education specialists and their own professional activities; plan the stages of educational work in a higher education institution to achieve specific educational goals; conduct lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, as well as organize students' independent work; assess the quality and effectiveness of educational and educational work.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses taught at the Department of Economic and Social Geography in the study programmes "Economic Geography," "Urban Studies and Urban Planning," or similar Bachelor-level programs.
2. Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills.
Course content
This academic discipline is designed to practically apply the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching activities at a higher education institution. During the internship, students, under the guidance of a designated lecturer from the department, conduct seminars and/or practical sessions, attend classes of other student interns, and learn the methodology for delivering lectures. Students also familiarize themselves with the educational and methodological work of the department and engage in self-preparation.
Throughout the internship, students must strictly adhere to safety regulations, including occupational safety and fire protection rules. Each student is assigned individual tasks that must be completed on time and to a high standard. At the end of the internship, students are required to present a report, formatted according to the requirements provided by the supervisor. The base for the assistant internship is the Department of Economic and Social Geography at the Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Assessment methods and criteria
After the completion of the assistant practice period, students report on the execution of the program and individual tasks. The reporting form for the student’s practice is a written report. The written report is submitted to the academic supervisor of the practice from the department. The report should include information about the lessons conducted by the student, preparation of teaching and methodological materials, and the completion of other individual tasks. Evaluation takes place throughout the entire period of the course. Learning outcomes, provided they meet the required level, are assessed as follows:
1. Oral questioning – from 10 to 20 points.
2. Ongoing control – from 25 to 40 points.
3. Checking teaching and methodological developments and materials – from 25 to 40 points.
