To know: Classification of management decisions and the requirements for them; stages of organizational and technological development of decisions; basics of decision preparation, organization, and implementation; quality and functions of management, methods for increasing the effectiveness of management decisions. To be able to: Collect, process, and analyze information for decision-making; use analytical methods to substantiate management decisions; take into account risk factors and uncertainty in decision-making and identify ways to improve the effectiveness of management decisions; evaluate decision support system projects.

Distance form

1. Successful completion of the courses "Theories of Spatial Organization," "Socio-Geographical Forecasting," and "Applied Economic and Social Geography." 2. Possess skills in spatial development analysis. 3. Knowledge of modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research and the ability to apply them in scientific research activities.

The course is dedicated to the development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of decision support systems; acquiring skills in formalizing and quantitatively justifying decisions for further use of the obtained knowledge in scientific research, organizational, and project work. The course is aimed at familiarizing students with the prospects of developing modern information technologies in the field of decision support systems, their application for solving economic and managerial tasks.

Lecture, practical session, independent work

Semester evaluation: The number of points a student receives throughout the semester is the sum of the points obtained for completing and defending practical works, and for completing thematic control tasks. Practical session work is evaluated based on performance, according to the schedule of practical sessions. Thematic control tasks are conducted in written form in a test format. The final evaluation in the form of a pass is carried out in writing.
