To know and understand the technology of research activity and modern systematic methods of scientific research. Be able to apply the basics of the system approach to the analysis and synthesis of management structures and management systems. To be able to organize the implementation of scientific research in the field of land management and cadastre.

1. Have basic knowledge of philosophy, methodology and organization of scientific research, orientate in intellectual property issues. 2. To be able to navigate the palette of philosophical directions, currents and schools; to form the ability to correlate philosophical, worldview ideas and theories with the practice of social life; 3. To be able to analyze various information sources, regulatory documents, etc., necessary for conducting scientific research; 4. Know and be able to conduct scientific research in the field of land management and cadastre;
Course content
This educational discipline is dedicated to mastering the methodology and methods of scientific research in the field of geographic, land, cadastral and registration systems, students' acquisition of knowledge about the theory of scientific research, structure, methods of creating new knowledge, preparation for publication and defense of qualification works. The discipline is aimed at the formation of special professional, social and personal competencies in students, the accumulation of knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to a flexible way of thinking that makes it possible to understand and solve problems and tasks, the ability to a flexible way of thinking that makes it possible to understand and solve problems and tasks, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of geodesy, land management and cadastre.

Assessment methods and criteria
Аll types of work are carried out during the semester, including independent work and performance of individual tasks. For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points, it is necessary to re-study the course in order to receive credit. For works submitted late, 2 points are deducted for each day of delay. In the case of a student's absence due to valid reasons, re-examination and re-submission of the MKR are carried out in accordance with the "Regulations on the procedure for evaluating students' knowledge under the credit-module system of organizing the educational process" dated October 31, 2010.
