Successful completion of the mandatory educational components "Human Geography", "Economic Geography", "Social Geography", "Introduction to Urban Studies",
"Theory and Practice of Planning", "Introduction to Urban Planning", "Urban Land Use Planning and Land Valuation", optional "Urbolaboratory 1: Spatial Analysis", "Urbolaboratory 2: Urban Design", "Urbolaboratory 3: Urban Regeneration", completion of training practices;
knowledge of the theoretical and applied principles of urbanism and urban planning, social geography;
mastery of quantitative and qualitative methods of spatial analysis and urban research.
Course content
As part of the internship, students acquire skills in independently solving problems in urban planning and urban planning, and become familiar with the work of various specialized institutions and organizations. The substantive part of the internship is mastering the process of collecting statistical and geospatial information, processing and analyzing geospatial data, developing recommendations for solving a specific problem in the field of urban planning and urban development, and getting acquainted with the structure of the organization that accepted the student for internship. At this stage, students must learn to analyze and summarize the collected data, develop skills in independently solving problems in the field of urban planning and urban development. During the internship, students must strictly adhere to the rules of labor protection and fire safety.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
After the end of the internship, students report on the implementation of the internship program at the institution. The reporting form on the completion of the internship is a written report and its defense at a meeting of the department. The written report, agreed with the internship supervisor from the institution, is approved by the internship supervisor from the department. The report must contain information on the implementation by the student of all sections of the internship program at the institution, sections on labor protection and safety, conclusions and proposals for improving the content of the internship, etc. A mandatory element is a characteristic of the student from the internship supervisor from the institution. A report is drawn up according to the requirements established by the internship program. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a differentiated test, at which students defend their written reports.
