Learning outcomes
Know: theoretical and methodological foundations of transport geography, its structure, basic terms, concepts and categories of the discipline, the history of the formation of transport geography as a subject of study; factors of development and placement of various types of urban transport; features of transport connections in cities, the importance and possibilities of urban logistics; composition and features of the territorial organization of the transport infrastructure of the city, etc. Be able to: determine the features of the placement and development of various types of transport, give a comprehensive characteristic of the development of the country's transport system; identify on the map the street and road networks of cities, transport nodes, centers and points; characterize transport connections in cities; analyze transport accessibility and mobility in different cities; provide proposals for the effective organization and improvement of urban transport, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the courses "World Geography: Cities and Regions", "Human Geography", "Introduction to Urban Studies", "Urban Tourism"; 2) know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, be able to apply them in production and research activities, have skills in working with cartographic sources, computer programs Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software for using the Internet.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at gaining knowledge about the functions of urban transport and communications in a market economy, their significance and role in the implementation of state regional policy, patterns and factors of development and placement of urban transport at the level of individual cities of the world and Ukraine. The theoretical and methodological principles of studying urban transport, the history of its development, types, main indicators of activity, features of functioning, role and significance in the economic complex of the state are considered. Geographical problems of spatial organization of urban transport in the world and Ukraine are presented.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam. Semester assessment: the number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points that were obtained when evaluating the work in seminars and performing thematic tests. Organization of assessment: Work in seminars is assessed by performance, in accordance with the schedule of seminars. Thematic tests are carried out in the form of a test.
