Prerequisites and co-requisites
-Successful mastery of the courses: "Basics of tourism science", "Tourism country studies" -Knowledge of basic tourism and geographic terminology, understanding of the role of the population and settlement, its traditional and modern culture and religion in the formation of tourism process, knowledge of country studies features of different types of countries of the world - Have elementary skills in searching for information and summarizing it from various sources, Internet search systems, Microsoft Office software, ability analyze the received data
Course content
The course consists of two content modules. The first module is devoted to the study of theoretical provisions and analytical results studies on the geography of population and settlement: geodemographic features reproduction (natural and mechanical population movement), population structure, ethnogeography, familiarization with modern population and regional theories UN forecasts, classification of settlements (according to various characteristics), their typology, forms settlement, processes of formation of settlement systems, agglomeration and urbanization, theory of world cities, basic provisions of geo-urbanism, features of settlement in rural areas localities and the description of these processes in the world and in Ukraine is provided. In the second module theoretical positions of the geography of culture and religion, methodology are considered geocultural studies; the co-evolutionary links of ethnogenesis are revealed, culturogenesis and sociogenesis with the development of the natural environment; formation peculiarities of the geography of elements of material and spiritual culture; is provided characteristics of the geocultural and georeligious situation in the world and in Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out throughout the semester and during the examination session. Practical papers are submitted at each practical session or at the specified one term as a teacher; for works submitted after the specified deadline, the assessment is 50% of the maximum number of points. Control work is carried out in the form of blitz tests for 6-7 weeks of study during lectures For students who have completed 60% or less of practical work, an additional one is held test for 11-12 weeks of study.
