Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To be able to analyze the peculiarities of natural and anthropogenic processes, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the state of geocomponents and to forecast changes in them;
2. To know the main features of the functioning of natural geosystems affected by anthropogenic activity; principles and methods of ensuring sustainable development;
3. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them in production and research activities.
Course content
This academic discipline is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the history and economic use of natural resources of the biosphere by man, as well as their current state on the territory of the European continent in general and Ukraine in particular; changes in biological resources from their natural state, through the history of economic development to the present, which makes it possible to understand the state and to stabilize undesirable natural and, partly, social processes with lower costs. The discipline is aimed at the formation of special professional, social and personal competencies in students, the accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of nature use and nature protection.

Assessment methods and criteria
Survey in test form,evaluation of practical works, MKW, credit.The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), a mandatory condition for admission to the exam is to write essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
