Learning outcomes
LO01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences.
LO04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geo-informational models in the field of Earth sciences, in particular in soil science.
LO08. Justify choices and use field and laboratory methods to analyze natural and anthropogenic systems and objects.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know the theoretical foundations of the disciplines: "Spatial and landscape planning", "Ecology", and practical skills of field natural and geographical research - topographic, geological, geomorphological, meteorological, hydrological, soil science, biogeographic, landscape-ecological, acquired in educational practice after second year
2) To be able to observe and analyze the living space on different information slices, evaluate natural conditions and resources, determine the strategy of nature use.
3) Possess GIS, skills in the analysis of cartographic materials, Earth remote sensing materials, and construction of thematic maps.
Course content
The content of the discipline reveals the theoretical and applied issues of strategic planning at the level of the state, region, territorial community as prerequisites for land management and urban planning. The structure of the discipline involves the study of the theoretical foundations of spatial planning and normative documents in the specialized field, as well as a review of the methods and practices of developing land management projects and urban planning documentation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
Examination in test, oral and written form. The maximum number of points on credit is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to the semester ones is 24 points.
Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the credit. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points.
