Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of such disciplines as "Fundamentals of general and historical geology", "Geomorphology", "Landscape science", "Climatology with the basics of meteorology", "Physical and chemical processes in the hydrosphere"; 2) the ability to establish cause-and-effect relationships of natural processes, to analyze the natural conditions of the territory component by component; 3) possession of elementary skills of analysis of cartographic materials of various content.
Course content
The subject of study of the discipline "Exogenous geomorphogenesis" is the elementary geomorphological process as a functional unit of the general process of formation and transformation of the relief of the earth's surface. Its study includes a set of questions, which include the study of the properties of relief formation processes and the forms of the corresponding relief, the mechanisms of these processes, and their energy characteristics; assessment of the state and course of processes and their threshold values; analysis of patterns of placement and paragenetic relationships between individual landforms, processes and the environment in which they occur. Knowledge from this discipline has important theoretical and practical significance, as it allows to identify the manifestations of various morphodynamic processes in the surrounding environment, to distinguish between different genetic groups and forms of the earth's surface, which is the basis for conducting specialized field research and collecting primary material during production practice and preparation of qualification papers. The discipline program provides for the writing of a term paper.
