Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Educational practice on methods of acquiring geographic information", "Basics of GIS". 2. Know the main properties of raster geodata, geophysical and optical properties of landscape components. 3. To be able to give a comprehensive physical and geographical description of the territory, to select and critically analyze information and cartographic data sources; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them in production and research activities; to be able to model objects and processes, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geo-information technologies.
Course content
This educational discipline is devoted to the study of the basic theoretical and methodological principles of geoteledetection and applied aspects of the application of remote methods to the study of landscapes, their components, assessment of the ecological state and expert forecasting of their changes. The discipline is aimed at forming in students the skills of searching, critical evaluation, preparation, organization and analysis of DDZ in order to solve theoretical-methodological and applied problems in the field of natural geography. The functional block of the discipline involves familiarization with the main types and sources of geoteledetection data, work with Landsat and Sentinel DDZ, their derivatives, software and algorithms used in modern DDZ processing practice.
